Share BioDAQ Systems Among Investigators Academic institutions often purchase a BioDAQ system to be shared among several investigators within the same department or interdepartmentally. A typical system shared among 3 colleagues may include:
In this example each of the three researchers is running completely different studies requiring separate BioDAQ configurations. The modularity of the BioDAQ hardware allows the sharing of the same electronics for all three configurations. By housing animals in Unplugged cages while awaiting the use of the electronics provides time to collect periodic intake data and acclimate the animal to the home cage environment. This ensures that not only are the investigators animals acclimated when the study begins, but that data is always being collected.
