Optimized BioDAQ Systems

An Optimized BioDAQ system includes:

• Duplicate set of cages- to streamline
  husbandry activities
• Duplicate set of cages equipped with BioDAQ Unplugged- to acclimate animals for upcoming studies

Continuous Use

The BioDAQ optimized system puts the electronics in continuous use and allows for seamless electronic data collection of a series of studies with no down time. Periodic food and water intake measurements can be performed manually during the acclimation period with BioDAQ Unplugged.

Reduce Stress Reaction

Once a study is completed using the BioDAQ electronics, the animals housed in BioDAQ Unplugged cages can be hooked up for electronic monitoring. Simply replace the Unplugged adapter with an electronic PSC, plug in the cables, start the laptop computer and monitoring begins. All these activities are performed outside the cage without disturbing the animal in its home cage environment.
